The sun rolled down the hills and pushed the sky into twilight. Twinkling stars shined in the still bright sky, barely seen. The flowers stretched their petals and curled for the night. The tree's let out a deep yawn, rustling with the wind. The earth was silent, laying still starting to sleep. Once the sun goes down however, not everything sleeps. Some just begin to wake. A howl in the distance, the moon shines bright, lighting the town. Fires burn down and a soft glow is seen from the windows. This is the time that little girls should be asleep and little goblins come to play.
Little goblins, of all colors of the earth, come out to torment the night. Goblins come from everywhere, every rock, tree, hill, and hole. Each with a different color to distinguish. These little goblins do not get along, and at night come out to fude over their territory.
As the green, brown, red, blue, and all other shades of goblin begin to feud. One little green goblin sits and stares at the moon. Something catches his eye in the window of a cottage. Something small and beautiful is restless in bed.
One little girl, awake in her bed, climbs down to cause mischeif in the night. Fairytales of witches and goblins peak her interest. Her dog, protector and master of the house, keeps her from getting into trouble. She sneaks down out of her room and slinks down the stairs so as not to wake her parents. She carefully avoids every crack and creek, only to be stopped by her faithful furry friend, Lue.
The little goblin, intrigued, scurries through the town, dodging guards patroling. He makes it to the door of the little cottage and manages his way in through a crack under the door. See some goblins can shape shift and make it through very tiny spaces. Unfortunately, he too is stopped in his tracks by the large hound in front of him.
Lue begins to growl, ready to lunge when the little girl runs to the goblin, caught by his beauty.
More to come, next time.
